Whilst it would appear that the Matrix is the heart of the unit it has little say over what actually controls the system! There are really two sides to the "Brain" that controls this system -The first is the within each Repeater block (Click the box to drop into the next level down) in this a PIC controls the normal basic operation of each repeater, governing when Ident's are sent, when repeating is activated etc. Only when a facility outside of the individual repeater is required does the PIC send a message up via the Matrix to the PC. The PC then commands the Matrix and the blocks that surround it into action and returns the video and sound back down to the repeater that has requested the service.
